How did you find us?
Total Events came highly recommended by our venue, The Hall of Springs, and our wedding planner, Kelly Jeanmaire. After researching, including speaking with recently married couples, we quickly learned that Total Events was the premiere wedding rental option.
What was your vision for the day?
Ron and I felt strongly that our wedding was a celebration of our union and the start of our forever, but also a celebration of the people who have shown us love and support. We had a vision but relied on our vendors to help bring it to life.
We always envisioned a big wedding reception, bustling with clinking glasses and laughter and filled with tables of different shapes and sizes full of candles and flowers. We ultimately wanted our reception to feel like an indoor version of a tented Nantucket wedding: timeless, elegant, and fun. We wanted a big wedding in a large venue that felt intimate and romantic, and above all, we wanted it to feel like us.

How did you use Total Events to execute your vision?
Total Events is very familiar with The Hall of Springs and every popular venue within hours of the New York Capital District area. With their knowledge, we could easily discuss making the Hall a “wow” and fun setting.
We started the process with an initial in-person meeting at Total Events. We got to know each other and viewed table linens, chairs, table settings, candles, etc. Following that initial meeting, we looked at many photos to decide what we liked and did not like. We had many follow-up email exchanges regarding what we needed and wanted. Melissa and Joell were always accommodating, pleasant to meet with, and responsive to emails.
Melissa and Joell know and enjoy all the other vendors we worked with. We had a fabulous team that made our vision come alive. Not only did it make the wedding planning easy, but it also made it so much fun!
What was your favorite part about working with Total Events?
We loved working with the team at Total Events. Not only are they masters at what they do, but they are very kind people. Melissa and Joell went above and beyond for us. For example, it was vital that we incorporate a printed napkin, and candidly, we were very particular about the print. The team sourced and reviewed many napkin samples until we finally found the perfect one, and they made it clear that we weren’t stopping until we found the right one. They were also thoughtful listeners, stressing that no idea was too big or small. You could also count on them for helpful and smart recommendations. We never once doubted their judgment or advice, which makes all the difference when planning a wedding.
What was your favorite rental item?
That’s easy! The wood and white checkered dance floor. We loved it! It not only made the space feel more intimate, but it was unique and fun. Our guests are still talking about it! It blends beautifully in The Hall of Springs.
